I went to the bank(credit union association)at 9 o'clock this morning. The branch office was not busy today. I was the only client while the staff was taking care of my account. Because of the sluggish economy, the bank's business must be slow. I was worried about the bank as I deposit most of my money there.(2013.4.10)

My American teacher is on a trip with his students now. He said that every year he helps his students who are still small with taking baths. Nowadays a lot of kindergartens hire native English speakers as their mothers expect that those kids will be able to speak English, even if it is baby talk.(2013.4.5)

Some people don't give up when they're trying to catch a train, even though they hear the doors closing, they run down the stairs and rush into the trains. As for myself, I always leave for the station earlier, so that I have option to take the next one which can still take me to the destination in time. The other day I called the secretary to say that I had missed my train and might be late, but I was able to make it to the lesson.

2013-03-25 17:34

I recently got a letter from a boy in Cameroon. He is the third child who has become my foster child, and is turning 14 years old soon. I was glad to see his photo in which he was holding some gifts from me. Also I was a little sad, because I have to say goodbye to him in the near future. The organization doesn't allow me to support the same child as long as I want. When they grow up, I must change the child, so that as many children as possible can benefit.(20130509)

2013-03-25 16:49

Last Saturday, I went to the biggest auditorium in this area to listen to a speech. The speaker was a graduate of my son's high school. He was first place among his schoolmates in those days and went to Tokyo agriculture school after graduation, Then he studied various cuisines in France for 2 years. After he returned to Japan, he was hired as a cooking teacher on a TV show on CBC channel and he has also been running a cooking school, and publishing books sometimes. Now he is well-know in the field, but still very humble and mild-mannered. My son's school must be proud of him.
The hall which can accommodate 1500 people was almost full when I got there. The story was home-oriented, not pedantic, and aimed at housewives. The audience who wanted to buy his book with his autograph, made a long queue after the speech. When I got close to him while I was in the line, I happened to hear him murmuring that he only had brought 100 books. Since I scurried into the lobby for the book as soon as the speech ended, I was the 11th person from the head, so I easily got the book.(2013.05.11)
