Yesterday, I turned on the heater for the first time this autumn since it was a little cold in the room.
People go on excursions to view autumn leaves nowadays, but as for myself, I just enjoy them in my neighborhood.
Hier, j'ai finalement mis le chauffage dans mon salon pour le première fois après cet été.
Les gens vont admirer les feuillages d'automne et prendre des photos, mais moi-même, je regarde seulement les photos ou admire le feuillage dans les alentours.

Malheureusement il ne parlait pas très bien japonais, mais il se débrouillait pas trop mal en anglais.
Ça fait longtemps que je veux étudier l'allemand.
The German man who I talked with last Sunday has been married to a Japanese woman for 40 years. Since she speaks German, he didn't need to learn Japanese, and he speaks basic English.
Some people cannot speak Japanese well even though they have lived in Japan for over 10 years. I think one of the reasons is that the people surrounding them only speak English with them.
One American teacher I know says that his wife frowns if he tries to speak Japanese. I don't think it is fair. The spouse should help them improve their communication skills in Japanese.
Certaines personnes ne peuvent pas parler japonais même si elles habitent au Japon depuis longtemps. Une des raisons est que leurs amis ou familles ne parlent pas japonais. Un americain m'a dit que sa femme fait la grimace quand il commence à parler japonais. Je pense qu'elle ferait mieux de l'aider dans son étude.

私は英語とフランス語は不自由ないのですが、
ドイツ語ができないので、英語でしか会話できませんでした。
60歳になって、もし元気だったらドイツ語始めたいと思っています。
