運転していたら、オッフェンバックの”天国と地獄”がラジオから流れてきて、学校の運動会が嫌いだったことを思い出しました。

When I was driving the other day, an overture from “Orpheus in the Underworld ( Orphée aux Enfers)” by Offenbach was on the radio. The famous melody reminded me of our sports days when I was a student. I was reluctant to attend those events, and from the time I woke up, I couldn't wait for the day to end. Everyone has likes and dislikes, as for myself, I hated physical education, and preferred to study in the classroom.

 

Alors que je conduisais l'autre jour, on jouait l’ouverture de «Orphée aux Enfers» d'Offenbach à la radio. La célèbre mélodie m'a rappelé la fête du sport de l'école. J'étais réticente à assister à cet événement. À partir du moment où je me réveillais je n’avais qu’une hâte, c’était que la journée finisse vite. Tout le monde a ses préférences et ses aversions, et quant à moi, je détestais l'EPS et préférais étudier en classe.
